This program is for Canadians who want to teach English in Korea. The program will consist of the 4-week TESL INTERNATIONAL teacher training course followed by a 1-year placement with a Korea school. McKinsey will conduct on-site interviews to applicants to match with available positions in Korea. Successful candidates will have some opportunity to choose where they would like to be placed including location and level. This program is unique to other recruitment organizations because there is support throughout. Participants will be able to coordinate with staff in Korea to ensure a smooth transition.

THE TRAINING PROGRAM (4 weeks) The training sessions will not only certify the participants with a required TESL certificate for a work visa in Korea, but workshops are scheduled to give information on Korean culture, everyday life and basic language skills.

Additionally, each week the participants will meet with an advisor to discuss their progress and will attend one of the Korea information sessions. Interviews are conducted on site at McKinsey in Toronto or Vancouver by the Recruitment Coordinator. Successful applicants can expect to travel as soon as 8 weeks after course completion. Start dates are flexible, however.
