HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM INTERNATIONAL  

Level Requirements: High Intermediate level placement
Study Options: Power, Intensive, Part-time AM
Duration: 12-week course

Our Hospitality and Tourism International course is designed to provide students with the language skills needed to enter further training or a career in one of these international fields. Focusing on improving professional communication skills, the course blends theoretical training with practical application. Each module combines concept development in areas of Hospitality and Tourism such as operations, customer service, or promotions with relevant practice to develop communicative skills such as leading groups, developing relationships, telephoning, negotiating and presenting.

Work Experience:
Students enrich their educational experience by having the opportunity to gain valuable work experience from our co-operative education employer organizations. The work experience program consists of information sessions, workshops, counseling, work-site monitoring, employer evaluations, and student reports. Students enrolled in the program are registered full-time students who have achieved a grade point average in good standing and have maintained a solid attendance record. For a student to earn an Internship program diploma, he/she must successfully complete academic program and complete their co-op education obligations and work term. Therefore, the co-op component is mandatory for this program. Students will have to apply for a co-op work permit through Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).
